Video Update: Coast Guard medically evacuates pregnant woman near Grays Harbor, Wash.

A crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., medically evacuated a 25 year-old woman who was eight months pregnant, from a Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat 20 miles west of Grays Harbor, Wash., Sunday, July 25, 2010. 

ASTORIA, Ore. — A crew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., medically evacuated a 25 year-old woman who was eight months pregnant, from a Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat 20 miles west of Grays Harbor, Wash., Sunday, July 25, 2010.

Coast Guard Group Astoria received a call at 10:55 a.m. that a woman had gone into labor aboard a 24-foot vessel and launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Astoria and a 47-motor lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Grays Harbor. 

The woman was transferred to the motor lifeboat before being hoisted by the helicopter crew and transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
